Diseases are a bane to human society. If left untreated a serious disease can cause huge distress to human lives which prolong over a shorter or longer period or ultimately cause unnatural death. In ancient times, when humanity was still in its raw stage of understanding and perceiving the surrounding, the assumption was that diseases are forms of evil powers and curse from the Almighty or God. But with the evolution of science and logic, realization seeped into humans about the causes of different kinds of diseases resulting in the development of their remedies.
